TECHNOLOGY CHECK! Tonight all students (K-5) will bring home their computer. Please go to www.harp.sdale.org and click on the picture that says "Chromebook." This will allow us to make sure that your device is able to reach the internet from your home. Students must bring their computer back to Harp tomorrow for use at school. Thank you.
Reminder: The doors at Harp open at 7:30. Students are tardy at 7:45. After 7:45, students are checked in at the office through the front door. There is an online check-in system this year. If you have a car tag, the QR code is on the back...if not we have a QR code on the door.
NOTE: Our marquee has not been updating for several days. Please know the sign folks from Little Rock and our district team are trying to figure out how to fix it. In the mean time, be sure to continue to check out Facebook and the school website for information.

WOW!
It was so great to see all our little Hawks back with us today. We have new expectations, new procedures, and new staff. On top of that, we have the required wearing of masks. And guess what....your kids did an amazing job today!! The students were calm, happy, and did everything we asked of them with a smile (the best we could tell). We are very proud of our kids, and of the support we've gotten from you at home. We're off to a great start at Harp Elementary School.
CAR RIDER'S OFF TO A SLOW START -
We began using a new system today....plus, we had a number of parents without car tags and/or needed to add information. This causes us to have a long wait times on this first day. Tomorrow will be much faster, we promise:-) Thank you for all the friendly and understanding comments we heard from most of you guys. It is much appreciated!

Seating ready to go in the cafeteria. 6 feet apart....we can seat exactly 80 Harp Hawks! K-2 will be eating in the cafeteria with the staff bringing their trays to them while seated. 3-5 will be eating (safely distanced) in their classroom. Staff will be delivering their lunch to the room.

Friendly Reminder from Ms. McGaugh: We need all parents or guardians to update their child's information. Included with this is also the AUA form for Technology. Blended learning students will NOT be able to take home a device without this form filled out. ALL students will need an AUA form filled out. Your child's ID number is printed on a pink paper in the folder that was passed out during open house. When you enter their birthday for the password be sure to enter two digits for the month and two digits for the day. They must have the backslash between the day/month/year. Car Riders: We always ask for patience with car rider pick-up.
Cutting people off, honking, and threatening others does not help things move faster and certainly doesn't model a positive example for our Hawks. After a week or so, we can usually have all our car riders dismissed by 3:10...but at first it will be slow. Thank you for your patience. You can help by (1) having a car tag, (2) leave it displayed until your student(s) get into the car, and (3) stay in your car during loading.
NEW: This year students will come to your car after their student number is entered into the computer by the duty teacher. You will pick up at the door of your YOUNGEST STUDENT. K/1 picks up at the front of the school. 2nd/4th are the first covered walkway. 3rd/5th are the second covered walkway. ((Pre-K will use the new entrance and sign-out your student...older siblings will be there waiting).
